so here i am.

the nature of "my blue table" is to be a lifestyle blog.
i like to think that i will touch on all things interesting.
food, cooking, photos, music, art, nature, style, travel and of course the comings and goings of yours-truly.

as i lead a simple life, i will keep those interested (or not) up.to.date on where i am and what exactly it is i am doing.

my blue table is a reference to the rectangular, royal blue, formica table that my family of 5 sat around each night for dinner. for some reason, this blue table holds a dear place in my heart and when my parents replaced it with a new table, i made sure that the my boy blue was placed in a safe spot.

my blue table was a place to share:
new stories,
old memories,
a sweet smile,
a snitch,
a glare,
a tear,
laughter,
respect,
fondness,
an argument,
an apology.

this is where homework was done,
art was made,
masterful gingerbread houses were built,
cavities were grown,

wine was drunk,
drinking games were played
and birthday's were celebrated.

this is where our bread was broken.
and most importantly, my blue table is where i grew.
